Spiritual Direction

What is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual Direction is where a directee meets with a spiritual director monthly. During the meeting, the directee shares the movements in prayer. The ultimate director is the Holy Spirit. The spiritual director helps the directee to discern how the Lord is working in their life and prayer.

For someone beginning to dip their toes into the spiritual life or new to the Church, spiritual direction can offer insight into the fundamentals of prayer, what it means to live a sacramental life and why it matters, and how to live a communal life of faith.

For those a little more advanced, spiritual direction can help deepen your life of prayer and discern how you might use the gifts to serve God and His Church.

Who is Spiritual Direction for?

Simply put, spiritual direction can be for anyone at a given point in a person's life. Perhaps you are new to the faith and would like to learn how to pray. Maybe you are discerning a vocation and would like guidance in discernment. For others, it may be for accountability for their prayer and sacramental life. If you are unsure whether spiritual direction is for you, feel free to reach out and ask.
